Rinca, Manjarite and Kelor Island

Full-Day Private Traditional Boat Tour 4

Experience the extraordinary beauty of Komodo National Park on a carefully curated private journey to Rinca, Manjarite, and Kelor Island

Unlike many tour packages that attempt to visit as many destinations as possible within a single day, we intentionally limit this itinerary to four remarkable locations. From our experience, overly crowded itineraries often leave guests feeling rushed and unable to fully appreciate each destination.

We believe that a meaningful journey should be experienced, not hurried. By selecting fewer destinations and allowing sufficient time at each location, our guests can explore more comfortably, connect with nature, and appreciate the distinctive beauty of Komodo National Park at a more relaxed pace.

As this is a private tour, the journey offers greater comfort, privacy, and flexibility for couples, families, and small groups.

Rinca Island

Rinca Island, part of Komodo National Park in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), is a must-visit destination for adventurers seeking a close encounter with one of nature’s most remarkable giants—the Komodo dragon. As one of the principal natural habitats of this prehistoric reptile, the island offers an extraordinary opportunity to observe Komodo dragons in their natural environment.

Rinca Island is generally quieter and less visited than Komodo Island, making it an appealing alternative for travelers who prefer a more tranquil wildlife experience while still enjoying equally thrilling encounters with nature. Guided treks across the island allow visitors to explore the area safely and responsibly under the supervision of authorised rangers or local naturalist guides.

The island is characterised by open savannas, mangrove forests, dry rolling hills, and scenic coastal landscapes. Its rugged terrain and unspoiled natural surroundings create a distinctive atmosphere that reflects the raw beauty of Komodo National Park.

During the trek, guests may encounter Komodo dragons, deer, wild buffalo, monkeys, birds, and other native species. However, as all wildlife moves freely within its natural habitat, sightings cannot be guaranteed. Every visit offers a different experience, shaped by the animals’ natural behaviour, the weather, and the surrounding environment.

One of the highlights of Rinca Island is the viewpoint located along the trekking route. From this elevated position, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding islands, rolling hills, coastal landscapes, and turquoise waters.

Rinca Island offers a unique blend of thrilling wildlife encounters, peaceful natural surroundings, and pristine beauty. It is an ideal destination for eco-tourists, nature lovers, photographers, and adventurers looking to explore the extraordinary biodiversity and landscapes of Komodo National Park.

All visits and trekking activities must be conducted in accordance with the regulations of Komodo National Park. Guests are required to remain with the authorised ranger or local naturalist guide, stay on designated routes, and follow all safety instructions throughout the visit.

Guests must never approach, feed, provoke, touch, or attempt to photograph wildlife from an unsafe distance. Respecting the animals, the environment, and all park regulations is essential to ensuring a safe experience and protecting the fragile ecosystem of Rinca Island for future generations.

Manjarite Island

Manjarite Island is a hidden gem that captivates with its serene charm and incredible underwater world. This small, uninhabited island, accessible from Labuan Bajo, is a favorite stop for snorkelers and divers looking to immerse themselves in nature's wonders.

The highlight of Manjarite is its vibrant marine life. Beneath the calm, crystal-clear waters lies a spectacular reef teeming with colorful corals, tropical fish, and even the occasional sea turtle. For snorkelers, the long wooden jetty is a great launch point, offering a clear view of the underwater marvels below.

Above the water, the island’s tranquil beaches provide the perfect setting for a quiet escape. With fewer crowds compared to other stops in Komodo National Park, Manjarite Island feels like a private slice of paradise.

Whether you're exploring the reef or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, Manjarite is a reminder of Flores' unspoiled beauty-a must-visit for travelers seeking a true tropical getaway.

Kelor Island

If you’re looking for a little slice of paradise, Kelor Island in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, is the perfect stop on your Indonesian adventure. This charming island, just a short boat ride from Labuan Bajo, boasts pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and a lush green hill that’s begging to be climbed.

The highlight of Kelor is the panoramic view waiting at the top of the hill. A short but steep hike rewards you with breathtaking vistas of the turquoise sea, nearby islands, and the rolling hills of Flores. It’s the kind of view that stops you in your tracks and makes you savor the moment.

The beach is equally inviting. Soft white sand meets calm, shallow waters perfect for swimming or snorkeling. The underwater life around Kelor is vibrant, with colorful corals and playful fish just a few strokes away.

Kelor Island is often included in day trips exploring Komodo National Park, and while it’s small, its beauty leaves a lasting impression. Whether you’re hiking, snorkeling, or simply soaking in the serene vibes, Kelor is a must-visit for nature lovers and adventurers alike.

The captain, crew, harbour authority, and Komodo National Park authorities reserve the right to modify, postpone, replace, shorten, or cancel part of the itinerary when necessary for operational or safety reasons.

Safety will always take priority over the original itinerary.

  • Weather and Sea Conditions

Boat tours are highly dependent on weather and sea conditions. Strong winds, high waves, heavy rain, limited visibility, currents, or other natural conditions may affect the journey.

Decisions made by the captain, harbour authority, or relevant government authority regarding safe navigation are final and must be respected by all guests.

The price confirmed in the official booking confirmation or invoice will apply after the required payment has been received.

Any additional service requested after confirmation may result in an additional charge.

National Park Fees and Additional Charges
Komodo National Park entrance fees, trekking fees, ranger fees, conservation fees, activity fees, harbour charges, local government levies, and other official charges may apply.

Unless they are specifically listed as included in the official quotation or booking confirmation, these charges are not automatically included in the boat price and must be paid separately by the guest.

Official tariffs may be changed by the relevant authorities without prior notice.

  • Local Guide and Language Assistance

An authorised ranger or local naturalist guide may be mandatory at certain destinations, particularly during wildlife observation and trekking activities within Komodo National Park.

A separate professional tour guide or language-speaking guide can also be arranged upon request and may involve an additional fee.

Hiring a professional guide is highly recommended for international guests. A guide can provide destination information, assist with communication, explain local environmental and cultural conditions, and improve the overall comfort of the journey.

Please note that some captains, crew members, drivers, and local service providers may have limited English-language ability.

Guides speaking different languages may be arranged subject to availability.
